Chorayng Marsh Snail Village

Chorayng Marsh Snail Village is located westernmost of Gonmyeong-myeon, Sacheon City. The origin of Choryang-ri comes from it being included in Choryang-myeon in the Early Joseon Dynasty Period. In the past, it was transferred to Choryang-myeon, Gonyang-gun, but while reorganizing administrative districts in 1914, it merged with Samgeori and transferred to the current Gonmyeong-myeon, Sacheon-gun. Depending on the position, the town consists of two villages - Yangdal and Bongam. Chorayng Marsh Snail Village is full of marsh snails which only survive in Type 1 Water, and is a site of scenic beauty surrounded by the green mountains and clean water.

Geobukseon Village

Geobukseon Village is the first place where Admiral Yi Sun-shin dispatched the Geobukseon and defeated the enemy during the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592. The place is filled with the history of Naval Battle Sacheon and where Chungmugong’s spirit lives on. Located right below the Sacheon Bridge, Eoullim Park faces the large mud flat and famous for its beautiful sunsets. It is equipped with campgrounds, field, seminar rooms, restaurants, shower facilities, etc. On the mud flat, you can experience - manila clam digging, catching Japanese mud shrimp, catching conch, catching crab, and even grilling the local product oysters. The place has excellent facilities perfect for company’s workshop and students’ training camp.

Goeup Sweet Persimmon Village

Goeup Sweet Persimmon Village is a typical example of a farming village that satisfies the three primary prerequisites for a farming village landscape - mountain, river, and field. Having Sacheongang River to the West, the plains mainly grow rice and barley. Sweet persimmon trees are planted to bring income and to improve quality and competitiveness. Production and shipping are cooperative. This allowed them to obtain a high-quality certification and maintain a lead in the global market and exports. Currently, the village has implemented e-commerce on its website. The village was chosen as the Information Model Village in 2002 and Green Village in 2003. Part of the sweet persimmon plantation and farmland operated as weekend farm for visitors from the city, and utilizes Sacheongang River as a space for leisure and nature activities. The residents are working hard to create a charming Green Village by renovating the Village Community Center to leave their descendants a proud heritage.

Sangjeong Beebongnae Village

Beebongnae Village is a farming and fishing village experience town with the Beebong Stream in its center connecting to the Bamboo Forest Park of more than 10,000 pyeong, where you may experience a Bamboo Forest Walk, Bamboo Ecology Tour, Strawberry Picking, DIY Scarecrow, and Ditch Ecology Tour. You can learn its culture and history through many nearby tourist attractions - Dasolsa Temple, Sacheon Green Tea Farm, Bito Island, Aerospace Museum, Jinjuseong Fortress.

Sogok Geumjajeong Village

This rustic village situated near Sacheongang River has 20 hectares of Hongsolsup Forest (Red Pine Forest). The Experience Center in the forest is equipped with various kinds of field scopes to help visitors to observe the ecosystem.

Ucheon Barian Village

Ucheon Barian Village is located at the edge of Guryong Reservoir. The foot of Waryongsan Mountain is stretched out and the tail of the cow lies on the mountain, while the head of the cow is on the hill to the back of the village. The origin of 'Ucheon' comes from the shape of a cow comfortably lying down after grazing the grass at Waryongsan Mountain and drinking water in the stream. Ucheon Barian Village has the feel of a fun, appetizing, and cozy hometown along the Ucheon Barian Forest where pure and clean water runs all year round.
