It was designated an Eco-Tourism Village by the Ministry of Environment in 2013 as its excellent natural environment and healthy ecosystem are well preserved. Most of the village residents are those who left the city to go back to farming, so they aim to live a self-sustainable and ecological life. They put eco-friendly organic farming into practice and produce food safe to eat by installing each household with an ecological toilet instead of a flush toilet. This is called circulation agriculture, as human waste and urine return back to the land. In the village, there is an alternative school called the Gandhi School. Each household is installed with a solar-powered oven and solar-powered generator. The village strives to preserve the environment and save the Earth by using alternative energy.
